We hear that The Monte Carlo Beach Hotel has undergone not one but two renovations in the past year, and it would seem that the second time’s the charm.
The hotel, part of the Monte-Carlo SBM family (think Hôtel de Paris and Hôtel Hermitage), is actually a 44-room villa. Set in its own little cove with its own little beach, we say it’s ideal for a secluded, romantic escape. (We also hear that Monaco’s royal family likes to relax in the area, and that a certain rapper and his singer wife have been spotted in the vicinity…but the name of the game is privacy, so no name-dropping from us!) Those who really want to hide can book the six-bedroom villa that’s just a little bit up the hill, and completely enclosed by trees.
One convenient touch is that first-floor rooms have direct access to the beach from private terraces. (No walking through the lobby in your bathing suit—hooray!) Other cool touches that can give your clients some bragging rights: The hotel just joined Relais & Châteaux a few months ago, and because it is technically in France, is eligible for, and has earned, its fifth star.
