Glamping: Third Tent Camp at Paws Up |

Word out west is Paws Up is building a third tent camp to complement its two others. The Montana resort, 30 miles east of Missoula (think Brad Pitt and A River Runs Through It), already boasts 12 luxury tents at Tent City and River Camp. The addition, to debut this summer and be called Creekside Camp, will add six more luxury tents (five two-bedroom tents and one honeymoon tent) to the resort. We like to think of it as “un-roughing it.” Unlike Tent City and River Camp, where guests share a master bathhouse (note: each bathhouse has separate bathrooms for each guest with heated floors and Montana-sized showers), Creekside Camp tents will have en-suite bathrooms, an addition which came directly from travel advisor feedback says Paws Up’s Director of Marketing John Romfo (johnromfo@pawsup.com).
Not Roughing It
The safari-style accommodations will be similar to its sister tent camps with electricity, feather beds, western-chic furniture, Adirondack chairs and private decks. Note: Camping butlers are also available. Top Treat: Nightly bonfires in firepits for s’mores.
Hint: If you enjoy falling asleep to and waking up to the sight and sounds of the Blackfoot River, River Camp is still the choice.
In addition to the camps, Paws Up also has 28 cottage-like homes including The Wilderness Estates, 10 homes, which opened in August 2008.
