This month the Garden Spa at Hermitage Bay in Antigua is unveiling a new way for guests to customize their spa treatments. Using a German holistic product line, Dorissima, the spa will focus on color therapies in order to promote balance and well-being.
The new spa menu features seven signature rituals, based on the philosophy that the body's seven Chakras influence a person's health. Each treatment is associated with different color essential oils and teas. They include:
Red Empowerment
This treatment is designed for people who want to energize, purify and detox. The therapy uses a dry body brush to stimulate circulation, combined with scents of tangerine, rose and neroli, infused with a Red Jasper hot stone massage. This is followed iwth a Red Body Pack wrap and foot massage.
Orange Enlivenment
Lacking creativity? This is the therapy for you. It is recommended for overcoming jetlag and regaining a sense of joy and happiness. It centers around the aromas of ylang ylang, orange and lemongrass all used throughout a lymphatic drainage massage. The Orange Body Pack is enriched with mango seed butter and is completed with a scalp massage.
Yellow Confidence
Relieve fatigue and refresh the mind with a honey and Himalayan salt exfoliation using oils infused with frankincense, lemon and vanilla. The Yellow Body Pack is topped off with a tension relieving hand massage.
Green Balancing
Using a Dead Sea salt body polish, followed by a lavender, ginger and mint scented massage, this package will evoke a sense of comfort, love and compassion, relieving stress and anxiety.
Blue Calming
This treatment blends carrot, orange, anise and fennel with a heated Herbal Poultice, designed to increase circulation and soothe muscles. The aromas will relieve sinus congestion as well as open the throat and chest.
Indigo Intuition
This treatment uses Ayurveda rituals for a deeper spiritual journey. It begins with lavender, chamomile and rose oils and an Ayurveda massage, followed by a softening body mask and a Shirodhara treatment. Ask about a special four-hand massage.
Violet Spirit
Trouble sleeping? This may be the treatment for you. A massage, using the scents of frankincense, myrtle and patchouli, coupled with a Violet Body Cocoon and scalp massage, is ideal for those with insomnia.
Each ritual is approximately two hours long and prices start at $240.
